Bunker Trader - Greece/London/Oslo/Dubai

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand the customer base for the bunkering department, conducting continuous market research on a national and international level to identify new opportunities and drive business growth and profitability.
  • Attend maritime industry events to attract new customers for sales and fuel delivery to vessels.
  • Regularly monitor sales and market data, staying up-to-date with current market trends and customer preferences. Provide timely and accurate management reports.
  • Maintain and update account profiles for company accounts, monitoring competition within major accounts.
  • Prepare informative sales presentations on business operations and new product launches for clients.
  • Keep the customer database updated, handling quotations, sales inquiries, sales confirmations, contracts, and other sales-related documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the logistics department to ensure timely and effective fuel delivery, managing cancellations and amendments as required.
  • Resolve product delivery issues and address claims between the company and customers, both for common and complex situations.
  • Assist in assessing customer credibility and solvency by conducting research and providing feedback to management.
  • Regularly communicate with the treasury department to monitor clients' payments and address any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Business university graduate.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent knowledge of English language.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of securing new and repeat business.

Credit Manager - Greece

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily credit requests and manage the company's credit exposure within the established risk appetite.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers in the shipping industry.
  • Develop and implement credit policies specific to bunkering operations.
  • Make informed decisions on credit applications and set appropriate credit limits.
  • Identify and manage credit risks associated with bunkering operations.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with customers and suppliers.
  • Monitor credit limits, payment terms, and credit utilization for customers.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate customers' financial stability.
